 EAS undertake environmental assessments to inform, amongst other things, development design and provide our clients and regulators with the information required to make informed decisions.
The role of the Ecologist is to design and complete Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs) and Protected Species Surveys, and produce technical, scientific reports with appropriate recommendations for mitigation and enhancement suitable for submission to our clients, their representatives and regulators (such as Local Councils and Natural England). 

• Relevant Degree
• Experience undertaking PEAs and Protected Species Surveys
• Excellent report writing skills
• Proficient in the use of Word and Excel
• Knowledge of software such as GIS
• Protected Species Survey Licences (ideally including bat and gcn)
• Experience producing technical, scientific reports
• Full and clean UK driving licence and suitable vehicle
• Good team player

• Liaise with clients, regulators and other service providers
• Prepare desktop studies
• Design and undertake Protected Species Surveys
• Interpret evidence to produce valid conclusions and recommendations
